Once the results of a WAEC exam is released, there are several sources where you can buy a WAEC scratch card online to access the result.
WAEC Examinations
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) conducts an examination for students in the final year of secondary school education. This examination takes place between May and June every year. Candidates must obtain a credit score in the subjects they sat for in the WASSCE to meet the requirements for admission into any tertiary institution.
The WASSCE is also available to private candidates who may have left the secondary school system but wish to re-sit a paper. This particular examination is conducted twice a year in January for the first series and October for the second series.
WAEC Result Checking PINs
When a candidate registers for the WASSCE, he or she is given a result checking pin in the form of a scratch card.
For school candidates, this scratch card will have their centre and examination numbers, and the PIN and serial number of the card. This card is unique to each candidate and cannot be used to check another candidate’s result. This card is the size and look of an ATM card.
The above also applies to private candidates of the external examinations, previously known as General Certificate in Education (GCE). But instead of a scratch card that looks like an ATM card, the result checking PIN for private candidates is embossed on their Examination Photocards which they are to print after registration.

Click on WAEC result checker PIN.
4. Add the details required and proceed to pay.
5. There are various options to pay including ATM and Bank Transfer.
Choose the one that is convenient for you.
6. After a successful payment, your PIN will be displayed.
Print or save to your mail box for safety purposes.
WAEC Scratch Card Price
WAEC Scratch Cards cost between N3,500 and N4,000 when purchased through authorized online vendors such as Remita and Quickteller.
The card can be used to check the same candidate’s result for five times, after which a new scratch card must be bought.
