This Love is for Everyone

Love for everyone

Love for All

To love appears easy, but it is the most difficult of all human endevors.

This is because most times we are not even aware that what we are doing is the opposite of love.

For instance, we may think nothing of having multiple partners at the same time. We may think we love them all, however, mutiple partners have been proven time and again to be responsible for grave diseases.

So, what we are occupying ourselves with in the name of love, is in reality, detrimental to our overall well-being.

Not Loving Everyone by Omission

My elder sister was born with a health challenge.

She struggled through childhood. She did not like eating and when she did, she could spend the whole day picking away at the cold food. It was very nerve racking trying to get her to eat her food in a timely fashion.

The disease brought on a stroke, and eventually made the situation even worse. Survivors of stroke or their caregives can narrate how hard it gets from there.

A whole new process of learning will be embarked on after the physical recovery has commenced. Patients have to re-learn vocalising and walking. It is a long, ardous task, and in our big family, with so many wants, needs and foibles, we may not have been there for her as much as we should have.

Give Love

This Valentine’s Day and always, we should remember to give love to ourselves and to others.

We would love to hear from you
