Take Note of the Following Dos and Don’ts
Do:
1. Stay calm.
2. Read the questions quickly but carefully.
3. Choose the type of writing you are most comfortable with in Section A.
4. Make your essay not less than 450 words. One side of the usual answer sheet contains 100 to 150 words depending on your handwriting. Therefore, three sides will give you about 450 words.
5. Keep to the instructions.
Don’t:
1. Start on one essay then cancel it and begin writing another one, this will cost you valuable time.
2. Make your essay less than 450 words.
3. Write more than 750 words on any chosen topic.
4. Write long and complex sentences when answering questions in the summary and comprehension sections.
5. Choose just any synonym; pick the one that matches the context of the sentence or passage.
